Micro Miniature Refrigerators

For Optical Transmission

MMR’s Optical Transmission System is designed for optical transmission studies of materials over a wide range of temperatures. A gold-plated copper stage for holding the sample is attached to the cold pad of the micro miniature refrigerator. The stage has a 6 mm hole in it that is aligned with the two windows of the vacuum enclosure. The Dewar can be mounted in the sample stage of many I.R. spectrometers.

In addition to the refrigerator and vacuum chamber, a temperature controller is needed, either manual or programmable; a source of dry nitrogen (99.998% purity); a filter dryer; and vacuum pump capable of maintaining a vacuum <5 mTorr in the chamber. Other accessories that add to the convenience of operating the system are available from MMR.
